Amanda is originally from Ohio, where she attended Ohio University and graduated with honors, completing the Senior Honors Thesis Program. Thereafter, she relocated to Los Angeles to attend Pepperdine University School of Law. While studying for her law degree, she also received her Master’s of Dispute Resolution (MDR) from the number one nationally ranked Straus Institute of Dispute Resolution. In 2017 Amanda became a Realtor.
Amanda’s varied background has led her to become a well-rounded family law attorney specializing in high income individuals with issues of trademark, copyright, residuals, entertainment contracts, music catalogs, music publishing and complex real property holdings (both residential and commercial).
Amanda prefers to collaborate with opposing counsel and strategize with a team of professionals, including business managers, money managers, forensic accountants and mental health professionals to ensure her clients stay informed and have agency in the outcome of their cases. She takes a holistic, empathetic approach to divorce focusing on mental well-being, strategy for success beyond the entry of the divorce decree and managing difficult personalities. Amanda worked for several large corporate family law firms before deciding to become a solo practitioner, which she has done for the last 20 years.
Amanda feels very strongly about, and advocates for, human rights, LGBTQIA+ issues and animal welfare issues. Amanda lives in Los Angeles with her two dogs, Trout and Roe. She enjoys music, movies, hiking, biking, ballet and playing the trumpet.
